First room was dirty. 3 phone calls (Lines 1 & 2 of hotel room and my cell) were all placed on hold so we had to go down to the lobby to complain. Left message for the manager who never returned our call. Front desk clerk apologized and put us on the executive floor but that room was also very dusty and the sheet was ripped. Asked worker in hall to assist us and she got the housekeeper to clean room and change sheets. Housekeeper was yanking covers off bed, throwing things around and sighing audibly to express her apparent disgust with request to clean the room. Windows were dirty. Food items were missing which would have been charged to our room had we not brought it to their attention before they left our room so they die replace them. "Heavenly bed" was not so heavenly and we were very happy to get home.

I arrived at 7:30 AM after an overnight flight. Even though the hotel had been totally booked the night before, the desk staff made every effort to make my wait comfortable and was able to get me into a room by 10:30 AM. The room was comfortable. I especially like the 24 hour shuttle service to the airport.

To be fair I must say that the beds were extremely comfortable but I felt that someone was constantly charging me for everything. Forget the mini bar - $4.50 for one 12 oz bottle of water and do not try and move anything in the mini bar - they might charge you a $25.00 'cleaning fee' Parking ($18. per day) is much more than comparable hotels in same area and I did not always feel safe in the ramp, elevators were slow. They charge $12.00 per day for the internet or you can pay $9.00 for 15 minutes to use their computers in the lobby - not fun when their computers froze up, the printers had no paper and the staff was very snotty when I asked for assistance. I much prefer the Marriott brands for service and reasonable prices.

I STAYED AT THE WEST-IN HOTEL NEAR THE LAX. IT WAS THE WORST EXPERENCE I EVER HAD. THE PARKING WAS $18.00 A DAY . I DID NOT KNOW THIS ABOUT THE PARKING BEFORE HAND. SOMEONE BROKE INTO MY RENTAL CAR AND STOLE MY GPS. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THAT HAPPEN ....WHEN THE HOTEL CHARGE $18..00 A DAY FOR PARKING. I GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR. AND THEY CHARGE ME FOR THE SNACK TRAY IN THE ROOM AUTOMATICALLY (4Xs). I WOULD ADVISE YOU ALL TO TAKE THIS HOTEL OFF OF YOUR LIST.

The hotel has the feel of being run down. The carpeting and walls look worn. The elevators were extremely slow. The staff explained this was because they were replacing the elevators. It was not unusual to wait over 5 minutes for an elevator. Be sure to check your bill carefully. There are trays with food items on the bureau. If you move an item or accidentally knock one over, you will be charged for it. Also, I forgot my headphones and they didn't have any that you can use in the fitness center. They charge $11.95 for internet access - this is a pet peeve of mine. The only thing that I can say is that the food at the conference I attended was good.
